R&D Marine is a pioneering manufacturer dedicated to creating innovative and high-quality boat products. Our History

R&D Marine was founded in 1973, born from years of dedicated development work to create a flexible shaft coupling tailored for marine applications. Our journey began in a single garage, where our founders worked tirelessly to design a coupling that was not only easy to install but also competitively priced.

In 1976, R&D Marine established its current location, marking a significant milestone in our evolution. Over the years, we have undergone extensive renovations, culminating in our present 8,000 square feet of modern factory space equipped with state-of-the-art CNC machines for precision manufacturing.

Our product range has grown organically, guided by customer feedback and a commitment to meeting the industry's evolving needs. Shortly after introducing our flexible shaft couplings, customers suggested the development of compatible anti-vibration mountings and damper drive plates. By 1976, we had established a comprehensive product lineup encompassing couplings, mountings, damper drive plates, and half couplings for engines ranging from 5 HP to 800 HP.
